FRP/Mocoat was contracted to provide two tall wellhead shelters for a prominent midstream company. Each shelter was to be 14 ½” tall. Some unforeseen circumstances were presented in the field and quick solutions needed to be made to adapt to these circumstances. One of the shelters required an access door to be added. The door was cut, angle iron and flat bar was added to the interior walls for reinforcing.
The second building required additional height added. A steel frame was constructed using steel tube and insulated panels custom made to match the panels for the existing building were added. The original building was placed on top of the new frame to add an additional 2’ to the height. The frame was then removed and shipped separately to avoid utility lifting and increased freight costs.
