FRP/Mocoat was contracted to provide a 12’ wide x 16’ long x 9’ high building to be used as an emergency shelter in British Colombia.
The building was fully assembled in our shop in Calgary, then taken apart into sections, crated and shipped via flat deck trailer to Vancouver. From there the crates were transferred to a ferry where they were shipped to the Sunshine Coast and trucked further to a base camp. The building was then easily reassembled by a field crew at the base camp and flown via helicopter up the mountain to a pre-determined area. Engineered lifting lugs were mounted to the base of the building that allowed this flight to occur easily and safely.
